Transparency at Kindero
Child Safety & Staff Accountability
Safety first, always.
Background checks: All staff complete Massachusetts CORI/SORI checks, reference verification, and annual re-clearance.
Two-adult supervision: We follow a two-adult rule during program hours and off-site activities.
Secure drop-off/pick-up: Photo ID required for authorized adults only; changes must be in writing (no exceptions)
Mandated reporters: Our team is trained to identify and act on concerns swiftly and lawfully.
Cameras & incident logs: Common areas are camera-monitored; we keep detailed incident logs and notify families promptly if anything occurs.
Facility safety: Daily room checks, locked storage for hazards, and monthly drills (fire/evacuation).
Our commitment: If a safety concern arises, we communicate quickly, document thoroughly, and loop you in—every time.
Curriculum & Parent Visibility (No Surprises)
You’ll know what we teach—before we teach it.
Weekly lesson plans posted: Objectives, materials, and activities are shared in advance via the parent portal and classroom board.
Open observation (by appointment): Parents/guardians can observe to minimize disruption and maintain classroom ratios.
Daily updates: You’ll receive a summary of the day (meals, naps, highlights, reminders).
Opt-outs: You may opt out of non-core activities (e.g., holiday projects) with alternative activities provided.
Materials access: Books, songs, and videos are listed with links whenever possible.
Learning focus: early literacy, early numeracy, social-emotional basics (sharing, kindness, taking turns), motor skills, creativity, and lots of play.
Health, Immunizations & Sick Policy
We follow state childcare health guidance to keep everyone well.
Immunizations: We follow Massachusetts childcare requirements. Provide up-to-date records upon enrollment and at renewal.
When to stay home: Fever (100.4°F+), vomiting/diarrhea, suspected contagious illness, or inability to participate comfortably.
Return timelines: Posted in our handbook (fever-free 24 hours without meds, etc.)—we adhere to them consistently.
Medication: By written authorization only; stored securely; administered by trained staff.
Hygiene: Scheduled hand-washing routines; high-touch surfaces sanitized daily; enhanced cleaning during illness spikes.
Exposure notices: If there’s a reportable exposure in your child’s classroom, you’ll be notified promptly with next steps.
Data Privacy, Photos & Devices
Your child’s moments are yours to control.
Photos/Video: Opt-in only. We never share publicly without written consent.
Storage & access: Files are stored securely and only accessible to authorized staff and the child’s family.
Devices: No personal devices for children during program hours (except required assistive tech, documented in the care plan).
Data use: We do not sell or share family data. We collect only what we need to provide safe, high-quality care.
Access, Tuition Transparency & Community Support
No hidden fees, clear timelines, and real help.
Published tuition & fees: Full tuition tables and what’s included are posted on our site and in your enrollment packet.
Financial assistance: We help families navigate vouchers/aid programs and provide documentation quickly.
What’s included: Diapering supplies policy, meals/snacks details, field trip costs (if any), and late pickup policy—spelled out up front.
Community resources: We maintain a local list for food support, housing referrals, early-intervention services, and parenting programs.
How We Communicate
Channels: Parent portal, email, and phone for urgent matters.
Response times: School hours = same day; after hours = next business day.
Policy changes: We post updates with effective dates and highlight what’s changed in plain language.
Feedback welcome: We invite questions, disagreements, and suggestions—respectful dialogue makes us better.
